Who are Royal Navy Family & People Support?

RN FPS are an agile, professional specialist welfare service in direct support of RN Global Operations.

RN FPS delivers high standards of specialist services, based on best practice and up to date research, in order to achieve the positive outcomes for the Naval Service and its families. 

Sitting within the Royal Navy’s People Support organisation, RN FPS works across four key priority areas: 

  • Deployment Support
  • Visiting Officer Role
  • Crisis Intervention and Compassionate Activity
  • Safeguarding

Delivery against these objectives is achieved through provision of specialist casework, community development work, and information support. 

Their support is for Service Personnel and their families who serve across four of the arms of the Royal Navy: 

  • Surface Fleet
  • Submarine Fleet
  • Fleet Air Arm
  • Royal Marines
  • Reservists are also supported if they are working within an Operational role.  

They are also there for Chain of Command and the Divisional System and work closely with other Government departments, the 3rd sector, and other stakeholders.
