Here is the space to share your thoughts and reviews of the Film Club movies chosen for this month.

This is the space to share your reviews if you cannot make the online meeting or wish to share your thoughts with the wider audience.

Pressure is about the tense 72 hours before D-Day, the fate of the free world hangs in the balance as General Dwight D Eisenhower and Captain James Stagg face an impossible choice - launch the most dangerous seaborne invasion in history or risk losing the War altogether.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, the once lone bounty hunter Mandalorian Din Djarin and his apprentice Grogu are enlisted by the New Republic to help protect everything the Rebellion fought for, embarking on a new adventure.

If you happen to watch any other movies either at home or at the cinema and would like to share your thoughts, we'd love to hear them.

The next Film Club meeting will be on Monday 12th October 1930-2100 hrs.

If you would like to find out more about this online group please email [email protected] to express your interest.

Hello movie buffs… I had down The Whisper Man as a home movie option. My husband, (19 year old) daughter, and I all watched this tonight, we thought it was a really good movie. Great casting, and kept us gripped throughout. Carole

    Darren's review of Pressure:

I really enjoyed this movie, for me it was the sheer force of Captain Stagg and his absolute refusal to compromise on the truth.
The best part of the movie for me lies in Stagg’s defiant stand against General Eisenhower. He didn’t want to hear about complications. Yet, Stagg doesn't falter and stands up to the giant.
While the American meteorologist paints a sunny, optimistic forecast that fits what the generals want to hear, Stagg relied purely on the science regardless of it being very unpopular.
The tension in the room is immense as military leaders bark about losing the war if they delay. Stagg being told that he will be personally responsible for thousands of lives if he gets this wrong.
Two thoughts that stuck with me
1.Who would have thought weather would be so topical, relevant, gripping & interesting
2 I've never wanted the weather to be so bad then so good
