Veterans, you are going to want to know about this!

Veterans Services Is a Tri-Service, Ministry of Defence organisation which provides support to serving personnel, service leavers, veterans, reservists, and their families. It exists to help individuals navigate some of the most challenging aspects of military life and transition to civilian life offering practical guidance, personal support, and access to key services when they are needed most.

Veterans Service has three delivery arms: Veterans Welfare Service (VWS), Defence Transition Services (DTS), and Integrated Personal Commissioning for Veterans.

VWS provides ongoing, one-to-one support for individuals and families managing issues such as bereavement, medical discharge, financial difficulty, or changes in health. This support is not time-limited and can be revisited whenever circumstances change.

DTS offers additional guidance during what can often be a significant life change, helping individuals and families access the right support and making the move into civilian life more manageable. DTS can receive referrals up to two years Pre and Post Discharge

Integrated Personal Commissioning for Veterans provides bespoke support to Service Leavers Suffering from complex physical, neurological, and mental health issues resulting from a Service-attributable Injury. This support is not time-limited and can be revisited whenever circumstances change

Accessing support is straightforward. Individuals can reach out directly via the New online referral form, speak to their chain of command or welfare teams, or use national routes such as the Veterans UK helpline and Veterans Gateway.

Veterans’ services offer support as soon as a need is identified, and it remains available for as long as it is required. No one in the Armed Forces community needs to face challenges alone.
