The second phase of the long-awaited Veteran ID card rollout has started, now covering all long-standing former members of the British Armed Forces.

All service leavers since 2018 have been entitled to a Veteran ID Card, but the new phase will provide cards for those have been veterans longer.

Minister for Veterans' Affairs Johnny Mercer was at HMS Sultan in Gosport, where the cards are being manufactured, to hand out the first four cards in the newest batch.
