LGBT Veterans Independant Review Response

The UK Government has released a response to the LGBT Independent Review 2023 which was published earlier this year on the 19th of July.

The response thanks the over 1,100 individuals who contributed their testimonies which informed the report and the 49 recommendations made within it. It has been recognised by representatives of the LGBT Veterans community, including Fighting with Pride that significant progress has been made towards reaching 48 of the 49 recommendations. Fighting with pride have said “We have been particularly pleased and grateful for the work completed by the MOD.”

The response does highlight the ongoing work to fully meet the recommendations made back in July a fair amount of which is on track to be implemented in 2024.
