FAMCAS 2024 - 1 Week Countdown

The Families Continuous Attitudes Survey 2024 (FamCAS24) closes on the 22nd April

There is still time to have your say in this year’s Royal Navy and Royal Marines Families Survey!

If you are the spouse or civil partner of a serving person, yours and your family’s views are important for shaping the developments of Royal Navy policies and initiatives. We encourage you to complete this year’s survey before it closes in 1 weeks’ time!

FamCAS results provide senior policy makers in Defence with invaluable information and evidence to guide and facilitate policy change. Here are some examples of Defence’s positive initiatives and policy that are informed by FamCAS feedback:

  • Improving childcare through the Wraparound Childcare Scheme.
  • Helping children from armed forces families to thrive in education. Last year the MOD and the Armed Forces Covenant Trust launched the Service Pupil Support Programme (www) to improve the educational pathway of Service children.
  • Providing Defence with a greater understanding of what might be stopping families from being able to access timely integrated, mental and physical health and wellbeing services.

The more families that complete the survey, the more Defence will understand what changes need to be prioritised, in areas that matter most to you and your family.

You can click the link to access the RN and RM Families Continuous Attitudes Survey

You will need your partner’s service number to access the questionnaire (this will be your ‘Access Code’ – and it is case sensitive).

At the moment the FamCAS survey does not include unmarried couples who are part of a Service family. However, hearing the voices of unmarried partners who are in committed relationships is a priority for Defence, and they can have their say in this alternative short survey

You can check if you are able to complete the FAMCAS this year using this Checker Tool

If you are in the sample, you will be redirected to the Families Survey, if you are not, you will be redirected to the alternative short survey so that you may still have your say.

The survey will close on Monday 22nd April 2024

If you have any queries, or are unable to gain access to the survey, please do not hesitate to contact Caroline Riddington at [email protected]

We thank you for your participation,
