Defence Children Services (formally Directorate Children and Young People DCYP) provides a single Ministry of Defence (MOD) focus for all issues related to service children and young people and the children of MOD UK based personnel and MOD sponsored organisations stationed overseas where they provide education at 22 schools and settings.

DCS also directly supports Service families, providing advice on a wide range of educational matters both overseas and in the UK, delivered by specialist education and advisory teams.
