Supporting The Unsung Hero Business Start-Up Programme

Exciting news for Armed Forces families!

X-Forces Enterprise (XFE) has been awarded funding from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust to launch a new business start-up and enterprise pathway dedicated specifically to Armed Forces partners in the UK and overseas. This programme will provide tailored training, mentoring, community support, and access to a new knowledge-sharing hub, creating enterprise opportunities that truly fit the realities of military family life.

We are equally delighted to welcome the highly respected Supporting the Unsung Hero (SUH) programme, founded by Sarah Walker, into the XFE family. Going forward, SUH will serve as the dedicated home for all partner-specific enterprise training and support.

Over the next two years, partners will have access to:

  • Accredited business start-up training
  • One-to-one mentoring during the first year in business
  • Online and in-person networking events (including our first fully partner-focused event in early 2026)
  • A new online platform to share knowledge, experiences, and peer support

Ren Kapur MBE, CEO of X-Forces Enterprise, said:

“We know that enterprise can provide flexibility, purpose, and financial independence. By bringing Supporting the Unsung Hero into XFE, supported by AFCFT funding, we can place a clear and dedicated focus on military partners."

Thanks to funding from AFCFT and additional support from Landmarc Solutions, the programme will be offered at no cost to partners of serving personnel, with places also available for partners of veterans and reservists.

This is a bold step forward in supporting the extraordinary individuals who hold military families together.
