Twenty-seven sailors and Royal Marines have been honoured by His Majesty The King in his New Year’s Honours’ List.
From the highest military position in the land through to some of the longest-serving men and women in the Naval Service who have devoted their lives to public duty, all have an appointment with royalty in recognition of their efforts.
The end-of-year awards are combined with operational honours, acknowledging deeds, actions and commitment on the front line.
Most honours are awarded for longstanding efforts and dedication to the service.
