On the 29 Jul 24 eighty Young People (YP) travelled to North Devon for the Royal Navy Youth Residential. Once they arrived, they met with the team of staff made up of RN FPS staff and Volunteers who would be looking after them for the next 5 days.

There were so many activities for the young people to join in including high wire, surfing, paddle boarding through to bush craft and grass boarding, that the YP did not have time to get bored or miss home!
They were all amazing and the memories they have made and friendships they have secured will last a lifetime, as will the impact that the staff had on them.
During the week, the YP hosted RN FPS Head of Department and Community Lead, and a member of RNRMC who kindly funded the Residential. The young people and team appreciated the time given and being encouraged to have a voice, direct what will happen in the future and being heard.
So far feedback has been positive from both YP and their parents with several offering their support through volunteering with any further residentials.
Without RNRMC, the Young People and their parents, and the volunteers this would not have been possible, so keep sending in the feedback.
‘One Big Thank you’ from all at Royal Navy Family & People Support.
