The Naval Children's Charity are incredibly proud to offer their Life Chances programme. Designed in partnership with Naval young people via our youth council, the programmes offers funded activities centred around 3 key themes; Outdoor, Creative & Education.
The programme aims to support the development of Naval young people and their life skills by boosting confidence & wellbeing, bringing together groups of other Naval young people to share experiences and unlocking educational success.
Funded opportunities included sailing activities, outdoor activity residentials, theatre camps, technology camps, and educational advice and guidance such as webinar series and virtual work experience with leading businesses.
PGL
PGL camps offer young people an opportunity to experience a whole range of new activities, make new friends and build their confidence and social skills. The residential camps are all-inclusive, so all activities, food, drink and accommodation are covered. Activities may include: archery, AquaFun, canoeing, high ropes, kayaking and more!
Wickedly Wonderful
Children can horse ride, kayak, paddle board, enjoy games on the beach, roast marshmallows and toast chocolate bananas around the campfire. The camps encourage children to embrace the outdoors, breakfast, lunch and dinner are outdoors under the oak trees. Those attending pony camp will spend 5 full days with ‘their own pony’ and learn stable management, feeding, grooming and dressage amongst other things.
Tech Camp
Run by industry professionals, Tech Camp provides young people aged 9 to 17 the opportunity to explore a range of STEM based subjects. With week-long residential and non-residential camps available, Tech Camp is unique in teaching real engineering and programming through custom take-home projects and is the world’s most advanced engineering and coding camp for children.
