Naval Children's Charity - April 2026 Newsletter

Spring has officially sprung, and what a wonderful month we have had, celebrating our Naval Children during the Month of the Military Child!

The Month of the Military Child

A HUGE thank you to the National Museum of the Royal Navy who very kindly gifted us tickets to the Historic Dockyard for our Month of the Military Child celebrations on 8th April; in partnership with NFF.

Families enjoyed full access to the Dockyard as well as activities and refreshments, with the opportunity to meet a host of Charities including, RNSA, Reading Force and Aggie’s. On top of all that, there was even a lucky dip, which turned out to be big success!

“We just wanted to say a massive thank you for a truly wonderful day at the Historic Dockyard. The activities in the NMRN event room, all the charities coming together to support and the games and treats all went down well!  Two of my children are now signed up to a National Lifesaving qualification courtesy of Swim Free and they received beautiful books from Reading Force, glitter tattoos from Aggie’s and they really loved NCC’s Lucky Dip and Jackspeak games – I couldn’t get them away!

**We would be very grateful if those of you who have received a feedback questionnaire about the event, could please complete and return to us by the 5th May. This helps us to continue organising free events for our families**

We still have some downloadable MotMC resource packs available to request via our website, and we will soon be offering the paper-based activities and information sheets as a downloadable resource for everyone. Please keep a look out on our website!
