Lest We Forget Association has recently purchased 2 adjacent guest houses in Falmouth, Cornwall. Our aim is to provide seaside breaks for military personnel and their families, both serving and veteran.
There are 3 family spaces available with 2 bedrooms and a sitting area, each with a private bathroom. There is also a one-bedroom accessible unit with wet room and sitting area. In addition, we have 17 en-suite rooms.
We are already taking bookings – the school holidays are proving popular!
Some rooms have space for a travel cot (please bring your own).
It is bed and breakfast only. The breakfast is simple and self-service e.g. cereals, toast. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms. No other meals are provided; however, Falmouth has an abundance of places to eat. The town is 10 minutes’ walk, as is the train station and beautiful Gyllyngvase beach is 3 minutes’ walk.
There is a communal area where breakfast is available, with limited facilities, i.e. kettle, toaster, fridge, and microwave. Guests may bring in takeaways or ready meals.
There is no charge for your stay. However, please bear in mind that our primary purpose is to provide breaks for military personnel who would otherwise not be able to afford one. Therefore, we do ask for a donation, according to your means, to enable us to continue to offer this wonderful facility to other military personnel, both serving and veterans.
