Celebration day!
What a day we had in Portsmouth. More than 250 people came to HMS Temeraire for a special event celebrating military children.
On the day we held two fun run races on the running track: a 1km Dandelion Toddle and a 3km Dandelion Dash. Chelsea Pensioners were at the start to blow the horn and set off the 150 children who took part. Runners aged from 18 months to 15 years were cheered on by family, friends and the Sea Cadets.
The Celebration day was made possible with sponsorship from Frazer-Nash Consultancy.

Nominate a Little Trooper
We love to recognise little troopers who have been exceptionally brave, inspirational or just extra special against all odds.
Anyone can nominate a child, who has a parent serving in the British Armed Forces, for Little Trooper of the Month. We love to hear from Unit Welfare Offices, Community Development Workers, Schools/Nurseries, Brownies/ Scout leaders and of course parents!
Our monthly winner will receive a £100 voucher, certificate and lasting recognition of a customised, unique medal.
Adeline is our Little Trooper of the Month
5-year-old Adeline was diagnosed with Perthes disease last year and her family were quickly faced with a series of significant medical challenges. Within a short space of time, she underwent major reconstructive hip surgery at Southampton General Hospital and began a long and difficult recovery.
For a period, Adeline was wheelchair-bound and found returning to school particularly challenging. This was made even harder as her dad, who serves in the Royal Navy, was deployed and unable to be at home to support her through her recovery.
Despite these challenges, Adeline has shown remarkable strength and resilience.

Fundraisers of the Month
This month we would like to say a big thank you to two amazing fundraisers. Aishlen and Gerhard who ran the London Marathon this weekend and chose us as their nominated charity.
Sgt Aishlen Taylor took on the Marathon challenge raising money for Little Troopers and Stars Appeal. She said, “These are two charities, that we as a family have personally benefitted from & are very close to our heart.”
Gerhard said “There has never been a more important time than now to support Little Troopers. The work that they are doing is so important and needed”
