Keir Supports Culdrose Community Garden Revamp

Culdrose Community Garden enhanced by a team of seventeen volunteers from the Keir group and six RN FPS volunteers and staff to provide further activities for the community.

Volunteers travelled from far and wide to join in this activity, allowing Kier and RN FPS to collaborate on revamping the well utilised community garden. Although a very wet morning, this did not stop the work, especially as Aggies supported with refreshments and bacon butties!

Coordinated by Milly Winstanley, who also sourced coordinated resources and funding for the event, all the attendees ensured the garden was cleared, tidied and new plants planted allowing the space to be welcoming and attractive. Further enhancement has seen an additional sensory area added to the fencing brightening up the space.

Thanks to funding by Kier, the garden now has a new adventure play activity course, encouraging all visitors to have fun outdoors. We will look forward to seeing how the garden grows over the next few weeks and how the community use the space.

RN FPS would like to send a huge thank you to all involved for giving us the time, laughs and amazing end results, not forgetting the donations of plants from Rocket Gardens Ltd and bug houses and sensory equipment, but most importantly time.
