A new ten-year deal has been signed with BFBS (British Forces Broadcasting Service), which means our people will keep getting access to TV, radio, sports, gaming, and news – wherever they are in the world.
Summary:
- BFBS is a military charity and media organisation that has been looking after Forces entertainment and supporting the UK Armed Forces for over 80 years.
- It makes sure Service personnel, and their families, can watch their favourite shows, follow live sport, and stay up to date with the latest news – even in the most remote places on the planet.
- As part of the new deal, BFBS will build new digital tools to make sure the service keeps up with how people watch and listen today. They'll also expand gaming and other premium entertainment options, to suit the interests of all our personnel.
- The renewed deal with BFBS is part of the wider Armed Forces Offer and the Government's commitment to improve Service life for our people and their families.
If you can share the content on your channels and in your newsletters/magazines that would be very much appreciated. I’ve attached a copy of the internal announcement text we’ve used (with external, rather than internal, links included), along with some visual assets for you to pick from, if helpful.
To note: We’re in the process of getting a Discover My Benefits page on BFBS agreed and set up too.
