In 2021 just In London alone, there were over 100 fires involving e-bikes and e-scooters – IN THE HOME.
When the batteries fail, they do so with ferocity and a rapidly developing fire can quickly occur.
ONLY charge batteries whilst you are awake and alert, so if a fire should occur, you can respond quickly. Don’t leave batteries to charge while you are asleep or away from the home.
The battery should be stored and charged away from any exit routes, always close the door and where possible, charge batteries outside.
ONLY use OEM batteries and chargers and NOT substandard Chinese imports.
