Rhoda is a dedicated community builder at BATUS Canada who has initiated various activities and events to bring people together, including food deliveries and a book club.

The winner of the Young People’s Award is… Gregor Allan 10-year-old 

Gregor wanted to help his sister prepare for their dad’s tour of duty in the Middle East. So, he produced a list of activities and asked his school to set up a club for Service children.

The winner of the Family Volunteer of the Year Award is… Sharon Deans 

Sharon works as an Armed Forces Champion for the East London NHS Foundation Trust, working on a project to improve opportunities for the Veteran community.

The winner of the Overcoming Adversity Award is… Lisa Billing 

Lisa is a dedicated supporter of the Armed Forces community who has worked tirelessly to preserve the memory of her son, Daniel Wade and other soldiers who died in Afghanistan.

The winner of the Military Family Charity of the Year Award is… The Ripple Pond

The Ripple Pond is a charity run by a team with direct experience of military life, helping to reduce isolation and build confidence, resilience, and well-being in the military community.

The winner of the Social Media Influencer of the Year Award is… Marama Alliance UK

Marama Alliance UK is a group of Fijian women who support military families by raising awareness of military events, charities, and support services to help integrate these families into UK life.

The winner of the Armed Forces Advocate of the Year Award is… Leanne Cobham 

Leanne is an Armed Forces Healthcare lead in the NHS. Leanne works to improve services for the military community and ensures that special provisions are put in place for those who need it.

The winner of the Small Business Owner of the Year Award is… Jodie Woods 

Jodie's business, Baby Sensory & Toddler Sense West Dunbartonshire, aids child development, raises sepsis awareness & supports charities. Her classes are loved for socialising & escaping isolation.

And finally, the winner of the Exemplar Forces Family Friendly Employer of the Year is… Amazon

Amazon UK provides portable, flexible careers for military spouses and veterans, including a Military Workforce Development program, apprenticeships, and training opportunities.
