Surviving Being a Military Partner

NHS funded service iTalk and Solent Mind offer an online Military Partner support group for Military partners living in Hampshire (excluding Portsmouth, Southampton, Fleet and Farnborough) and have now released their dates for the upcoming year.

The 4 session online group “Surviving Being a Military Partner” aims to provide a space for partners of military personnel to reflect on challenges that they face, recognise their strengths and share tips that work for them! The course encourages participants to think about their own experiences and share their expertise with others in similar situations to help feel a part of the community. The facilitators to the group (who also have experience of military life) enable insightful discussions and will share some techniques based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Each session will focus on a topic including; coping with deployments, managing uncertainty, managing our diaries and managing communication issues. The course will be held on Zoom and participants can directly refer.

It is available for those who live in Hampshire and are registered to a local GP (excluding Portsmouth, Southampton, Fleet and Farnborough), and are not currently serving in the military.
