New Countrywide Support for Young Carers from RN and RM Families

Do you know a young carer?

Could they do with some extra support?

KIDS is working with the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC) to provide support to young carers, from across England, who have a family connection to either service.

KIDS is a nationwide charity that, among other services, provides bespoke support to young carers in the Fareham and Gosport area. We are pleased to receive funding from the RNRMC to extend our specialist knowledge across England, to offer information, support, and signposting to any young carer with a Royal Navy or Royal Marine family connection.

Young carers, or those who work with them, can contact us through our newly launched digital hub here . A member of our young carers team will respond swiftly to see what support is needed and how this might be made available. It could be advising on the national services the young person can access, or exploring how to make a school more aware and responsive to the young carers situation. If the young carer is able to access the face to face services the project team offer they may want to come along to one of the many leisure activities offered through the holiday periods as a way of taking a break from their caring responsibilities.

No enquiry is too big or too small, we’d love to hear from young people and those who support them to see how we can develop this service to meet their needs. Please feel free to contact us through the digital hub.
