RNRMC is looking to recruit a Neurodiversity Navigator to join their Grants Team

RNRMC are looking for an experienced neurodiversity practitioner who may be looking for a new challenge pioneering and championing this exciting new role.

It would suit someone who has worked at a management level in a Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) environment, and has experience of signposting and project management.

The RNRMC support anyone who is serving, or has served, and their families for life. Serving can be challenging, especially for the families. Add neurodiversity into the mix and it can be extremely difficult to manage. Following some discovery work by their Commissioning team, it was identified that RNRMC could enhance support around neurodiversity in the military. Parents told them about the challenges they faced and described the support they needed. One key request was to have a single point of contact who could help signpost them to appropriate support.

RNRMC are therefore offering an exciting new role as a Neurodiversity Navigator, working in the heart of the Royal Navy with serving personnel and their dependents. Whilst the focus will be on families, the Navigator will be available to help all service personnel and those transitioning from the service. The Neurodiversity Navigator is a key role in our support around neurodiversity in the military. The post holder will help set up a system for signposting (including researching resources and support offers, information and communication, systems and processes), manage different tasks and workstreams, and offer supported signposting. We hope through this role, more of our people will feel enabled to identify themselves, reducing isolation, improving parent’s mental health and wellbeing, and share knowledge and resources.
