Dads Onboard is a digital group for Dads (or expectant Dads) with a child under 5, in naval families where at least one parent is serving in the Royal Navy or the Royal Marines. The facilitated group runs for an hour each week over 6 weeks via Zoom. Group discussions are confidential; Dads are invited to share as much or as little as they feel comfortable to. The aim is for them to meet other dads who understand the challenges of service life and to share thoughts and ideas. Discussion topics will include:
- Becoming/being a dad in a naval family
- How to support your children and partner/spouse
- Building bonds with your baby
- Separation, relocation and parenting
- The importance of Dads
