Month of the Military Child – April 2024
The SSCE Cymru team is really excited to be celebrating Month of the Military Child in April again this year.
Building on the success of last year where we supported a number of schools, local authorities and organisations across Wales to understand and celebrate their Service children’s experiences.
How will SSCE Cymru be celebrating Month of the Military Child?
- Sharing resources and ideas on the SSCE Cymru website about how schools and Service families can get involved with the celebration
- Promoting SSCE Cymru resources and support
- Launching our NEW bi-lingual SSCE Cymru E-learning package for school staff
- Supporting schools, local authorities and organisations with planning, running and promoting events/activities to celebrate Month of the Military Child
- Raising awareness of ways to get involved in the celebrations through our SSCE Cyrmu X and Facebook accounts using the hashtag #MotMCCymru
- Creating a social media pack that local authorities/other organisations can use as a template during Month of the Military Child
- Sharing Service children’s voices through our new case study films
- Celebrating Purple Up Day on Friday 26th April.
