Are you ready for The Great Tommy Sleep Out?

Please join us in our biggest campaign ever, The Great Tommy Sleep Out 2024, raising vital funds and awareness in support of veterans facing homelessness.

The Great Tommy Sleep Out is a fundraising challenge designed to support the estimated 6,000 veterans who are experiencing homelessness in the UK right now. The challenge doesn’t replicate rough sleeping, but it does give you an idea of the situation far too many of the nation’s heroes find themselves in.

You can sleep outside for one night or more, in a tent, homemade shelter or directly beneath the stars. How you choose to do the challenge is entirely up to you. Just pick your location, plan your night out and get fundraising!

Why do we need you to take part and sleep out?

Our emergency accommodation, Mountbatten Pavilion, faces enormous pressure every winter and relies heavily on funds raised from generous supporters like you. Year on year we see an increase in the demand for our services for homeless veterans .

Every pound you raise helps the UK’s most vulnerable veterans, not only providing safe homes but also giving them the support, they need to get back on their feet.

Who can take part?

Anyone can take part be it on your own, as a family or friends group, as part of a cadet, scout, guide or social group or even with your work colleagues. Everyone that fundraises receives a fundraising pack and beanie.

The team at RBLI are on hand to provide plenty of support to help you plan your sleep out every step of the way.

So, what's the next step?

The challenge officially begins in March, so you have plenty time to start planning! Your safety is our top priority.
