Easter Fun across the RN Community!

Here is a choice of activities that are happening for Easter and during the Month of the Military Child. These can all be found in the Members Activities and Events Calendar which also provides details on which need to be booked in advance.

More may follow, so ensure you are following this area and your Local Support area too!

All Easter Eggs have been purchased through a grant from the Royal Navy Royal Marines Charity – thank you RNRMC.

In Plymouth, the Easter Party will be at Crownhill Community Centre on Tuesday 4th April 1330-1500.   Mr Phil will entertain the children with a magic show and games, and there will be plenty of play activities for the younger ones.    The crafts and refreshments will be available with the Easter Bunny bringing a sack full of eggs.  

In Taunton an Easter Fair will be held on Saturday 1st April 1400-1600 at Quantock House, 40 CDO RM. The event will feature craft and activity stalls featuring Easter card and Mask making, a cupcake competition, Easter bonnet parade and Easter egg trail. There are plans to have a bouncy castle and face painting. Light refreshments will be provided.

In Scotland, Easter Fun will be taking place in and around the Cabin on Thursday 6th April 1200 – 1400. Come and join us for an Easter Egg Hunt, crafts and egg rolling and listen to an Easter Story from the Chaplain. Don’t forget to bring your Easter Bonnets for our competition!

In Yeovilton, on Sunday 9th April there will be a magic show at Tall Trees Community Centre after which the children will get a balloon model of their choice. This will be followed by some Easter craft making for children and parents ending with an Egg hunt around the centre and grounds. The event will end at 1700.

In Lympstone, an Easter Egg Hunt will be at the Gordon Messenger Centre on Tuesday 28th March between 0930-1200.   Children will hunt for Easter Egg "tokens" in the garden and will be given an Easter Egg on completion.  Easter crafts and play activities will be available too.

In Gosport, the Gosport Community Hub Easter Fun will be taking place on Thursday 30th March at 1600 – 1830. An Easter Egg hunt, crafts, biscuit decorating and Easter Hat competition are just some of the activities you can take part in, with an Easter Egg for all children at the end!

In Chivenor, the Easter party will take place on Wednesday 12th April 1400 – 1600 at the Church. There will be fun and games, an Easter egg hunt with a difference and children will have the opportunity to create their own Easter bonnet/hat with a prize for the best one and food. Running alongside the party will be a cake/bake competition for the adults and the children get to eat the cakes and bakes … after they have been judged!

In Culdrose, there will be a choice of activities for you to join in! On Thursday 30th March we will be handing out Easter Eggs alongside Aggie’s Bacon Butty morning at the Haven 1000 – 1100 so come along and collect one. On Friday 31st March, come and join us at Culdrose Community Centre 1830-2000 for our Easter Disco – the tuck shop will be open and glitter tattoos available for all whilst enjoying some fun, games, and dancing!   

The following week will see Hoppy Crafters Art Attack on Tuesday 4th April 1230-1400 with lots of art and craft activities for you to join in; On Wednesday 5th April come and join us at 0900-1200 for Coffee Morning with a Twist Easter theme – come and colour some eggs and decorate biscuits with your children. In the afternoon, 1330- 1530 we will be holding an Easter Egg Hunt with Aggie’s, Easter eggs will be decorated for this event by our young people.

And there is more! On Wednesday 12th April, join us at Coffee Morning with an Easter Twist theme 0900 – 1200.  Then on Thursday 13th we are getting together for a Patch work community garden book swap and plant out. Easter egg hunt included with a treat for all who attend 1000-1200.

In Portsmouth, lots of fun activities will be happening across the areas.

Peak Lane Patchers will be holding an Easter Party on the Monday 27th March at the Ranvilles Community Centre from 0945 – 1130,  On Sunday 2nd April 1400 - 1600, the House on the Hill Community will be holding an Easter Party at the Phoenix Community Centre with an Easter Trail and a ‘Crafternoon’.  George Court will be completing an Easter Window Trail with rewards to all the children / young people that complete the trail.

Easter Parties are being held at all three Community Centres: Tuesday 4th April at Crossley Community Centre, Wednesday 5th April at Phoenix Community Centre and Thursday 6th April at Cockleshell Community Centre – so come and join us from 1030-1400. Music, games and craft will all be available, and some special guests will be with us to distribute Easter Eggs to all children attending.
