Portsmouth Historic Dockyard - All Hallows Crafts This Halloween

Did you know the name ‘Hallowe’en’, a contraction of ‘All Hallows’ Eve’, was first used in the mid-16th century?

This October half term, The Mary Rose are taking inspiration from 16th century All Hallows’ celebrations and invite our younger visitors to get hands on and create Tudor Halloween-inspired crafts.

Creepy Conservation Week at the National Museum of the Royal Navy will also scuttle its way to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard this October half-term. Back by popular demand, explore our galleries and meet all kinds of interesting new creepy crawly friends this October half-term.
