Join the Club on the 8th September 2025
7:30 PM to 8:30 PM
The National Film Club is a project for service communities across the United Kingdom and overseas.
We meet on MS Teams once a month to share our thoughts and views on the films chosen for each month.
Free tickets are available for most cinema chains, email for further information.
The choice of films to watch this month are:
Cinema Film:
‘The Roses’. For picture-perfect couple Ivy and Theo their life seems easy. But beneath the façade of their supposed ideal life, a storm is brewing – as Theo’s career nosedives while Ivy’s own ambitions take off, fierce competition and hidden resentment ignites.
Home Film:
‘Thursday Murder Club’ In a peaceful retirement village, four unlikely friends meet up once a week to investigate unsolved murders.
OR
‘Allelujah’ When the geriatric ward in a small Yorkshire hospital is threatened with closure, it fights back by galvanizing the local community. The hospital invites a news crew to film the preparations for a concert honouring its most distinguished nurse.
