HorseBack UK have availability on the following dates 6-13 July, 5-9 October and 9-13 November for their Military Wellbeing course.
The HorseBack experience is an award winning programme which offers nationally accredited qualifications in personal development through horsemanship and mental health and wellbeing. Participants have the opportunity to gain a better understanding of themselves and their individual needs through a residential week and continued online support.
Courses are small, a maximum of 8 on each course and places are offered on a first come, first served basis.
Accommodation is shared, 2 small doubles in each room and all work with the horses is purely groundwork.
Attendees would need to travel to Aboyne on the Sunday before the course starts. The course is fully funded excluding travel to and from Aboyne.
HorseBack UK aim to help as many people in the Armed Forces community as possible. They support service personnel and veterans of all ages, whether difficulties have arisen during time in the Armed Forces or many years later. They prefer for individuals to come via a referring body. This can be a PRO if still serving or for veterans Combat Stress, NHS or other recognised military associations. If you are wishing to self refer they would expect support from your GP.
To apply complete and return a Registration Form and Referral Form to [email protected].
