Watch Navy Face Army At Fratton Park
Fratton Park will host a special night of military football when the Royal Navy take on the Army in the Men’s Inter-Services fixture on Wednesday, March 25 (7pm kick-off).
The historic home of Portsmouth Football Club will provide the backdrop for what promises to be a memorable occasion, as two of the UK’s Armed Forces go head-to-head under the lights.
Supporters are invited to attend and entry is free, giving fans and the local community the chance to enjoy a competitive fixture, while showing their support for the men and women who serve in the Armed Forces.
The match forms part of the long-standing Inter-Services Championship and carries added significance this year.
The British Army arrive as the current Inter-Services champions and holders of the Constantinople Cup, a competition that has been contested since 1909.
Meanwhile, the Royal Navy have already beaten the Royal Air Force earlier in the competition, meaning the encounter at Fratton Park will be a winner-takes-all clash to decide this season’s champions.
Hosting the fixture at Fratton Park is particularly fitting given Portsmouth’s deep connection with the Royal Navy and the Armed Forces community.
