Understanding Oppositional Behaviour in Neurodivergent Children - Free Online Seminar

Southampton Family Trust's Understanding Oppositional Behaviour free online seminar for Royal Navy and Royal Marines families. Part of Royal Navy Royal Marines Charity Strengthening Families Programme.

16th July 2026 7.30 - 9.00 pm  Free Online (Via Zoom)

All children behave in oppositional ways from time to time, but for some families this can become an exhausting and ongoing pattern that affects daily life and relationships.

We understand how challenging and isolating this experience can be.

While there is no magic wand, this seminar aims to provide:

  • A deeper understanding of oppositional behaviour in children
  • Reassurance for parents and carers
  • Practical strategies and ideas you can try at home
  • A supportive and non-judgemental space to learn and reflect

This session forms part of our neurodivergence series for Naval families and will be particularly relevant for parents of children with ADHD or Autism, whether traits are suspected or diagnosed.

Whether you are at the beginning of your journey or looking for new perspectives and approaches, you are very welcome to join us.

If you are part of a Royal Navy or Royal Marines family and would like to book a place, simply send us an email and we will send you the Zoom link.
