Naval Childrens Charity Support Update

The Naval Children's Charity have provided an update on how they have been supporting Naval families during the COVID-19 pandemic.

We're so pleased to announce that the Naval Children's Charity has been awarded a Royal Navy Team Commendation for our continued support of Naval families during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Over the past year, we've delivered over 4,000 targeted financial interventions for children in the Naval community.

From Christmas grants to educational equipment, adjustments to households and specialised transportation for disabled children, we've been able to support families up and down the country.

We love what we do, but to be recognised in this way is a truly special moment for the team.

This is a difficult time for many of the families in our network. Not only has the pandemic and the resulting lockdowns put extra stress on our personal and familial lives, but in May, lots of parents went away on deployment.

Naval families often face longer periods of separation than their peers in the other branches of the armed forces.

Father's Day will have brought up feelings of anxiety and stress for lots of you, and left you feeling unwilling to celebrate. We've put together some tips on how families can manage key landmarks such as birthdays and religious festivals when you can't be together.
