Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance 2021

On Saturday 13 November the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance takes place at the Royal Albert Hall.
In their centenary year, RBL looked back on the history of this annual event which began in 1923.
Originally established to honour those who died in the First World War, it is now dedicated to all those that have served and sacrificed from Britain and the Commonwealth.
Their Patron Her Majesty the Queen first attended the event on 8 November 1952 following her accession to the throne.
Although she will be unable to attend this year they look forward to welcoming other members of The Royal Family at the Royal Albert Hall, including HRH The Prince of Wales and HRH The Duke of Cambridge.
Broadcast on BBC radio since 1927, the Festival of Remembrance is now a popular televised event on BBC each year.
