The Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) have invested £345m over two years to modernise more than 22,000 homes. This includes replacing roofs, windows, doors, heating systems, kitchens and bathrooms, installing external wall insulation, upgrading play parks and roads and installing electric vehicle charging points.
They also plan to invest a further £73m in 2022 on more improvements; more replacement windows, doors, roofs and upgrades to heating systems and ventilation to reduce damp and mould in SFA. This, along with plans for earlier intervention and prevention, will make a big difference to thousands of military families.
