Unfortunately, due to an administrative error by the event organisers, the tickets requested through RN FPS were not allocated. As a result, we have been informed that there are no tickets available for this weekend's event for families who registered their interest through us. We fully appreciate how disappointing this news will be. Many families had made plans and were looking forward to spending valuable time together at the event. Having worked to secure and coordinate tickets for more than 100 families, we share your frustration and disappointment at this outcome. Please accept our sincere apologies for having to deliver this news, particularly after many of you have been patiently waiting for updates. I would like to reassure you that this situation was entirely outside of RN FPS's control. We only became aware of the issue when we began investigating the delay in receiving the tickets from the organisers. The organisers have acknowledged their error and are currently in discussions with 4 Kingdoms to explore whether any alternative offer can be provided to affected families. At present, however, no alternative tickets or admission arrangements have been confirmed. Should this position change, or should any further opportunities become available, we will ensure that all affected families are informed immediately. I recognise this is not the update anyone was hoping for, and I am genuinely sorry for the disappointment and inconvenience this has caused. Kind regards, RN FPS Engagement and Comms Team

Blog Post: Valuing Forces Families Overseas

RAND Europe is carrying out research on the experiences of UK military families across the overseas postings cycle. This is being carried out in partnership with the Army Families Federation to support the development of the Valuing Forces Families Overseas (VFFO) programme. " Many families have positive experiences of overseas postings, which can open the door to different cultures and new experiences. However, families can also face unique challenges navigating the cycle of overseas postings. This ranges from challenges in planning for an overseas posting, navigating separation from friends and family and the impact of a posting on a partner’s employment, to difficulties adjusting after returning to the UK. While some key challenges associated with overseas postings are well understood, there has been little targeted research on the experiences and support needs of overseas families throughout the entirety of the overseas posting cycle " To see why RAND are conducting this and how to take part - visit HERE

Blog Post: Mission Motorsport - July 2026 Newsletter

Mission Motorsport are delighted to share the Mission Motorsport July 26 Newsletter. Sadly, I guess the most captivating part was the emotions it generated for me when the aliens (who reminded me of ET) were revealed and the shock it caused. I found myself feeling quite sad at their treatment and what as a human race are capable of. The film to me then quickly resumed its downward spiral and I was willing the end on. To balance my review I am not a sci-fi fan but I thought I would give the film an opportunity to shine - it didn’t.

Blog Post: Swim Free - Lifeguard Course - Portsmouth Area

LAST AVAILABLE SPACES GOING FAST! There were some parts where the film created a little bit of tension and I had high hopes for the final reveal but it just sort of fizzled to the end. There wasn't much to the story line and I was very disappointed with the end - it felt akin to the sci-fi film Ant and Dec were in decades ago!! Are we really still pushing the little green man with funny fingers and big heads!! It didn't feel worth hijacking the world's TV transmission for LOL It wasn't the worst film I've seen - I wasn't tempted to leave (as I kept thinking it must get better)...but it was mediocre at best and a bit of an unimaginative sci-fi film. I wouldn't recommend it. I wasn't able to watch RIP - I did post a question here at the beginning of the month asking how to access a film that's on Netflix (I don't have a subscription). I'm away on holiday next week so unable to join the meeting but I look forward to reading other reviews here and finding out what next week's film is.
