Adults Lego Serious Play Recap from June's Session

Another great evening of building, talking Lego and sharing homework was had by all who attended this month.

We did some great builds which included: what we did at the weekend, to build a logo and to build something with wheels

I'm not sure if I am on the right tracks with the homework that we were given at May's Lego Serious Play session, but I am going to be brave a post a photo of what I have done, I think I may have cropped the picture badly to show forced perspective... you tell me ??? As I believe we can now post photos in the reply feature, I would love to see what others have done before our next session on Monday evening.

I’m now on chapter 22 (I started it the end of last week) and I’m now more used to the writing style so it flows more easily in my head as I read, if that makes sense. I almost find myself having to switch my brain out of that mode when I stop reading…or that could just be my menopause brain!

The books will be on their way to all members of the Book Club this week, and this month's book is chosen by the group from the Cultural genre: The Girl With the Louding Voice by Abi Daré:

I don't just want to be having any kind voice . . .
I want a louding voice.

At fourteen, Adunni dreams of getting an education and giving her family a more comfortable home in her small Nigerian village. Instead, Adunni's father sells her off to become the third wife of an old man. When tragedy strikes in her new home, Adunni flees to the wealthy enclaves of Lagos, where she becomes a house-girl to the cruel Big Madam, and prey to Big Madam's husband. But despite her situation continuously going from bad to worse, Adunni refuses to let herself be silenced. And one day, someone hears her.

Jim and I teamed up as May is a bonkers month for us! It is a bit more of a photography challenge but we had loads of fun. We took inspiration from being by the sea and the last months book club book, Jaws! We made our own little scene!

Last evening's book club really flowed with conversation and I am pleased to let you all know that Jaws went for a resounding SWIM and gained a score of 6.24 Anchors.

It was a book most of the group were dubious about reading, but when they started it a lot were surprised by how much they enjoyed it and also how different it was to the movie.

A big thank you to everyone who came along to the meeting last night, and to those who were unable to attend but have left their comments and scores on here, thank you

Not going to be home in time to make tonight’s meeting

I really couldn’t get into this book but i’m not sure why! I think i’ve just be too preoccupied to concentrate.
I would recommend it because i did like the chapters that i have read.
6/10 so far
